Pain, injury, stiffness, or limited mobility can slowly change the way you live. You stop doing certain exercises. You avoid movements that hurt. Maybe you give up activities you once loved altogether because you're no longer sure what your body can handle.

My approach isn't about simply avoiding those limitations. It's about understanding them, building your capacity, and helping you regain confidence in what your body can do.

That process happens in four stages.

01- ASSESS

Understand where you are—and where you want to go.

Every coaching relationship begins with an assessment.

We'll talk about your history, your current challenges, previous injuries, activities you may have stopped doing, and what you ultimately want your body to be capable of.

From there, I'll assess your movement patterns, range of motion, strength, and tolerance to different movements. The goal is to establish a clear starting point and understand what needs to change to move you toward your goals.

What this may include:

  • Movement and range-of-motion assessment

  • Strength and competency testing

  • Injury and training history

  • Current pain or movement limitations

  • Lifestyle and activity demands

  • Your short- and long-term goals

The outcome: We know where you're starting, where you want to go, and what we need to work on to get you there.

02 - DEVELOP

Build strength, confidence, and movement competency.

This is where we begin building your foundation.

Your training is designed around what we learned during your assessment. We'll work on the movements and physical qualities that matter most for you while gradually developing strength, mobility, control, and tolerance.

If a movement currently hurts or feels inaccessible, that doesn't automatically mean we eliminate it forever. We may modify the range of motion, load, tempo, position, or variation and progressively build your capacity from there.

You'll also learn more about your own body—what you can tolerate, how to appropriately challenge yourself, and how to communicate what you're experiencing so we can make intelligent adjustments.

The outcome: You're getting stronger, moving with greater confidence, and beginning to understand what your body is capable of.

03 - ASCEND

Expand what you're capable of.

Once you've established a strong foundation, we build on it.

Training becomes progressively more challenging as your strength, mobility, movement competency, and confidence improve. Rather than simply working around your previous limitations, we're working toward increasing your capacity so those limitations have less influence over your life.

Your program continues to evolve based on your progress and the demands of the activities you want to pursue.

For one person, that might mean returning to running. For another, it's getting back under a barbell, hiking challenging terrain, playing tennis, getting comfortably on and off the floor, or simply moving through everyday life without constantly thinking about what might hurt.

The outcome: You're doing more, trusting your body more, and developing the physical capacity to pursue the activities that matter to you.

04 - FREEDOM

Live your active life.

This is the destination.

The goal of coaching isn't to make you dependent on a coach forever. It's to give you the strength, knowledge, capacity, and confidence to live an active life on your terms.

That doesn't mean you'll never experience another ache, injury, or physical challenge. It means you're better equipped to navigate those challenges without immediately feeling like you need to stop moving.

Whether your version of an active life means hiking, traveling, competing, lifting weights, playing with your grandchildren, working in your garden, or simply moving through your day confidently—the goal is for your body to support the life you want to live.

The outcome: You have the confidence and physical capacity to pursue your active life safely and independently.
