Your Questions, Answered
-
Not at all. Training starts with where you are today—not where you think you should be. Your program will be built around your current abilities, goals, training experience, and any limitations you may be working with.
-
In many cases, yes. Pain doesn’t always mean you need to stop exercising completely. We can often modify movements, range of motion, load, or training volume while gradually building your capacity and confidence.
Personal training is not a substitute for medical care or physical therapy. If your symptoms are outside my scope of practice or warrant further evaluation, I’ll recommend working with an appropriate healthcare professional before or alongside training.

This is exactly where individualized coaching can be especially valuable. There can be a big gap between finishing rehab and feeling confident returning to the gym, your sport, or the activities you enjoy.
We’ll assess where you are now and progressively rebuild the strength, mobility, tolerance, and confidence you need for the things you want to get back to doing.
-
Absolutely. You don’t need a certain level of fitness or training experience to begin. Strength, balance, mobility, and physical capacity can be developed at many stages of life.
Training will meet you at your current ability level and progress from there.
-
No. I also work with people who simply want to get stronger, move better, improve their fitness, or pursue a specific performance goal.
My approach is individualized regardless of whether you’re returning from an injury, training for an event, or just trying to stay strong and capable for life.
-
We’ll spend time discussing your goals, training and injury history, current activity level, and anything that’s currently limiting you. From there, I’ll assess relevant movement patterns, range of motion, strength, and tolerance.
That information gives us a starting point for building your training plan rather than guessing at what you need.

Remote coaching brings the same individualized approach to wherever you train. After your initial assessment, your personalized training program is delivered through an app called CoachRx.
You’ll be able to view your workouts, track progress, upload movement videos, and message me directly through the app. Remote coaching also includes bi-weekly Zoom calls to review your progress, address challenges, and adjust your plan as needed.
-
Not necessarily. Your program is designed around the equipment and training environment you actually have access to. That could be a commercial gym, home gym, or a smaller collection of equipment at home.
-
Yes. Nutrition coaching can include individualized meal planning based on your goals, food preferences, lifestyle, schedule, and activity level. Depending on your needs, we may also work with calorie and macronutrient targets, recipes, grocery strategies, food selection, and habit development.
Meal plans aren’t meant to be rigid rules you have to follow perfectly. The goal is to give you practical structure while helping you develop the knowledge and skills to make confident nutrition choices on your own.
Nutrition coaching does not include medical nutrition therapy or the diagnosis or treatment of medical conditions.
-
That depends on your starting point, goals, training consistency, and what we’re working toward. Some changes may happen relatively quickly, while rebuilding strength, capacity, or confidence after a long period of limitation can take more time.
Rather than promising a specific timeline, we’ll track your progress and adjust your training as your abilities improve.
