About Laura
I’ve been coaching since 2017, working with people across a wide range of ages, abilities, goals, and training backgrounds. Over the years, one thing has become increasingly clear to me: good coaching isn’t about finding the perfect exercise or following a one-size-fits-all program. It’s about understanding the person in front of you.
Many of the people I work with come to me because something has changed the way they move. Maybe it’s an old injury that still affects them, pain that made them hesitant to exercise, limited mobility, or simply years of feeling like certain movements are no longer for them.
My job is to help figure out where you are today, what may be limiting you, and what we can progressively build from there.
Through my experience as a coach and my training as an Active Life Professional, I’ve developed an approach centered on assessment, individualized programming, and progressive strength and movement training. Rather than simply avoiding movements that are difficult or uncomfortable, we look for appropriate ways to modify them, build capacity, and expand what you’re able to do over time.
I’m also a competitive CrossFit athlete, so I understand what it means to train toward performance goals and continually challenge your own abilities. But I also know that strength looks different for everyone. For one person, success might mean lifting more weight. For another, it might mean hiking again, getting up from the floor comfortably, returning to a favorite sport, or simply trusting their body enough to move without fear.
That’s ultimately why I coach: to help people build the strength, confidence, and physical capacity to keep doing the things that make their lives active and meaningful.
You don’t need to fit yourself into a predetermined program. Your training should reflect your history, your goals, your current abilities, and the life you want to live.
We’ll assess where you are, identify opportunities to improve, and build a plan that progresses with you. Along the way, I want you to understand why we’re doing what we’re doing—not just follow instructions.
The goal is bigger than getting through a workout. It’s helping you become stronger, more capable, and more confident in what your body can do.
